C.A.A.T. PROMOTIONAL PROGRAM FOR 2017

TITLE:

PROMOTION OF C.A.A.T. ABROAD – ITALIAN TRADITION AND INNOVATION OF THE “HAND-MADE” KNOW HOW

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

C.A.A.T. is an Export Promotion Group which associates 26 small and medium enterprises (among which there are 23 artisan businesses!) which create artistic craftsworks (like Faenza ceramics, porcelain dolls, design objects, gift objects, home furnishings, home textile, and artistic mosaic) and which offer restoration services too. Following the developments on the traditional target market for the member companies and given the specific and distinctive characteristics of its associated companies, C.A.A.T. aims at promoting the creations by the member artisans through innovative marketing strategies which focus on product-experiencing and storytelling in which the identity of the territory mixes with that of the craft.

So, for 2017 C.A.A.T. promotes the following initiatives:

1) Participation in international trade exhibitions

  1. MAISON & OBJET – Paris (France), 20/24 January 2017
  2. HOMI – Milan, 27/30 January 2017
  3. AMBIENTE – Frankfurt, 10/14 February 2017
  4. SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL COMPLEMENTO D’ARREDO – Milan, 04/09 April 2017
  5. MAISON & OBJET – Paris (France), 08/12 September 2017
  6. HOMI – Milan, 15/18 September 2017

2) Preparation of promotional videos and C.A.A.T. presentation material

3) Update of C.A.A.T. website

The total value of the project amounts to € 375.000,00 with a total financial support of € 150.000,00.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

C.A.A.T aims at being a tutor for its member companies while supporting them gradually in structured internationalization processes and helping them get familiar with marketing strategies which may be more successful in the current market scenario. C.A.A.T. aims at increasing the export turnover of its member companies and at getting a positive feedback from them on the undertaken actions, which would mean the member companies start to get more familiar with the internationalization process and its several steps.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

The market is changing, and so is the international scenario: increasing opportunities loom thanks to the increase of the middle class members and to the increasing rate of the international tourism but at the same time there is still need to implement new business strategies which may help the member companies to compete on an organized basis. C.A.A.T. has succeeded in reaching the minimum objective of at least 80 new contacts and in getting a positive feedback from the companies about the undertaken actions, which is evidence that C.A.A.T. has been able to interpret the market trends and to identify the most appropriate measures for small companies to approach foreign markets. C.A.A.T. stands out for being an effective and powerful partner.

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund
